Peter is freed from prison (Acts 12:3-11)

And seeing that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. Then were the days of unleavened bread.
And having him arrested, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.
Peter therefore was kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him.
And when Herod was about to make an appearance, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
And behold, an angel of the Lord, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And fell off his hands chains.
And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And he did so. He said to him: Put on your cloak, and follow me.
And he went out and followed him. And did not know it was true which was done by the angel, but thought he saw a vision.
When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself, and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
And when Peter was come to himself, said: Now I truly know that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.
Acts 12:3-11

This text tells the story of a great deliverance from God to the Apostle Peter, who was arrested on the orders of Herod.

Peter was arrested because he was preaching the Word of God, a very difficult time for the early church, because many were being persecuted and mistreated, and even Herod who was the vassal king of Rome was persecuting the church. Herod even killed the Apostle James who was the brother of the Apostle John's sword. Difficult time for the church because it was one of the leaders as well as we know the Word of the closest disciples of Jesus.

But the church knew that the servants of God did not die but rests in the Lord (John 5:24-25, I Corinthians 15:51-52, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 11:25).

After these things Peter was also arrested in the middle of a festival (unleavened / Easter), and after these festivities Peter would be killed.

Studying this Word we learned some valuable lessons:

Acts 12:3 - Speak of persecution, and today is no different, those who have commitment to truth are persecuted, for the most part was not so severe as in the case of Peter, suffer most. But like Peter our faith must be unshakable, the body can suffer, but our faith is not. And no matter the size of persecution: "For I tell you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18

Acts 12:4 - shows us that had a small army composed of 16 soldiers charged with keeping Peter imprisoned and then kill him after Easter. But we know: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6: 12. Believe servants of the Lord no matter what size the greater enemy is God and He is on our side, and through Jesus Christ we are more than conquerors.

Acts 12:5 - We have learned that the secret of victory in this "prayer", while Peter was still attached to the church was praying for him to God, the Church believes in miracles seek God in prayer, and believes that the miracle will happen, they were fighting not with carnal weapons but with spiritual weapons.

Acts 12:6 - Peter was bound with two chains, he was unable to get around, was stuck in a cell, the enemy was trying in every way to stop the work God had in Peter's life. How many today are not in similar situations, are stopped, helpless, trapped by spiritual prisons are suffering from demonic attacks from all sides. But I have good news to give you, when the church prays the release comes, when the servant of God prays ill have to leave in the name of Jesus and the devil has to flee.

Acts 12:7 - God sent his angel, and gave the order "Get up quickly" and fell from the hands of Peter chains that verse trembling, Peter was sleeping, I think because it was quiet descançando in God and started LIVING A GREAT MIRACLE. If you are experiencing a difficult time in your life, cry out to the Lord, seek his presence, God will not forsake his saints, believe rises as Peter and is released in the name of Jesus.

The enemy was already preparing the party, but who said the victory was the servant of God!!

Acts 12:8 - The angel said "gird thee Peter," put his clothes. Servant of God put his garments, the garment of praise, robes washed in the blood of the lamb.

Stand firm, then, having your loins girt about with truth, and the breastplate of righteousness;
Ephesians 6:14

The angel also said "bind on thy sandals," servant of God if the enemy tried to make you stop walking, tried to stop you along the way, do not give up, continue your walk is still long, has a lot of ground to cover, has many lives to be saved.

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ephesians 6:15

The angel also said, "Put on your cloak and follow me", the cover is a God-given authority to Peter. Servo chosen and empowered by God's authority, have the anointing has power given by the Holy Spirit, walk with the Lord and be sure to use the authority that Christ has given you, stand up, walk with the Lord, live in the anointing of God, fulfill your calling.

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God;
Praying at all times with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:17-18

Peter lived an experience with God so tremendous that even thought it was a dream, because see God move the chains that bound him fell, he girded, your sandals put, put your hood, past the soldiers who guarded and nobody saw, was invisible, passed the first and second guard and nobody saw him, and when he came near the iron door it opened by itself, and even the angel walked down the street, and so Peter was safely Angel departed from him.

At this time he realized what was happening and saw the great deliverance that God had given him. What a tremendous move of God, as the Lord takes care of his chosen.

Peter was immediately tell the brothers what was happening, and even the church was praying for his life took a while to believe in miracles.

Peter was released from prison and can testify to the great deliverance that God gave him.

This same God works in our favor today, we can experience the miracle in our lives, we pray for healing, deliverance and restoration to God's servants. The church needs to position itself, and as an army, war needs in prayer seeking the victory because God sends angels to us.

And no matter the size of the fights, the size of the enemy, it worth about Jesus, it pays to advertise that Jesus saves, that nothing and no one will impessa preach Jesus Christ.

Jesus loves you
