Financial Problems: Solution

Are you facing financial problems ? Bills you can not pay? Checks you can not cover ? Needs that you have no money to meet ? Shame ? Frustration ? Overworked ? Tension? Financial problems are too worrying and lead to many sins : discontent, ingratitude , anger, dishonesty, impatience, anxiety and neglect of spiritual responsibilities . The Bible teaches us how to face many different situations in life, including financial difficulties . The key to addressing financial problems is in the attitude of the person . To respond well need to allow the word of God to work in our hearts and change our way of seeing things .

attitudes

Gratitude : Paul urges us to be grateful . We need to be " ... overflowing with thankfulness " ( Colossians 2:7 ) . " Give thanks in all circumstances ... " ( 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ) . We should not complain or feel sorry for ourselves , but rather we must carefully consider all the reasons we have to be thankful and praise God for His blessings to us . The Israelites in the wilderness were complaining constantly, but had forgotten the great deliverance that God had given them had only a short time . We have to pay attention to what the Lord has given us and not for the things we have .

Contentment : " Preserve yourself free from love of money and be content with what you have , because God has said, ' Never leave you , never forsake you' " ( Hebrews 13:5 ) . The presence of God with his people should give so much joy and security that we could easily settle for any standard of living. Paul was happy in famine or abundance ( Phil. 4:10:13 ) . Moreover , the Scriptures are full of warnings against greed and avarice (see Luke 12:15 , for example) . For whatever reason , never seem to recognize the inordinate desire for things in our own lives . We believe that all the things we want are necessities and the debt we accumulated to seek to acquire them is perfectly acceptable . Could it be that few of us admit to greed in our lives because we blind ourselves and we fail to realize the true state of our hearts ? Paul exhorted : " Therefore , having enough to eat and to wear us be therewith satisfied " ( 1 Timothy 6:8 ) . We are only satisfied with it ?

Sobriety: Many texts urge us to be sober ( 1 Thessalonians 5:6 , 8 , 1 Peter 1:13, 4:7, 5:8 ) . A sober person face the facts and do not let your desire to color your perception of reality . Many people handle finances in a dream world , always imagining that everything will work magically . But running away from a problem or deny it does not help and is not in accordance with the character of Christ . We must recognize our current situation , no matter how sad it is, and be " men of courage " ( 1 Corinthians 16:13) . Ignoring problems does not extinguish them. Financial struggles do not fade with nothing more but need to be addressed by serious and persistent discipline.

Honesty: Honesty is part of Christian character ( 2 Corinthians 8:21 , Titus 2:5 ) . Honest people accept their financial limitations and not try to be something they are not living a lifestyle that their conditions do not allow . Honest people admit that there are many things that others around them have or can do that they can not because they do not have enough money for it . And honest people do not make debts that have no ability to pay (see Romans 13:8 ) .

Diligence : Sometimes , but not always , financial problems result from laziness. " Taking a nap , napping a bit , crossing his arms a bit to rest , their poverty will surprise you like a robber , and your need will come to him like an armed man " ( Proverbs 6:10-11 ) . " Because of laziness, it bends the roof , because of the indolent hands , the house leaks " ( Ecclesiastes 10:18) . Financial problems are to be expected when we pamper with rest and quiet , and do not work very hard . A man should support his family ( 1 Timothy 5:8 ) even though this may involve hard work or unpleasant jobs , or even if the available work is relatively poorly paid .

Spirituality : We need to keep our main focus on Christ, not on material things . " No one can serve two masters . Either he will hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other You can not serve both God and Money ... But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness , and all these things shall be added to you " ( Matthew 6:24 , 33 ) . Our possessions , our position and our success in this life are insignificant matters for the true Christian . He sees himself as merely passing through this life as a pilgrim and therefore relatively uninterested in their conditions . He never makes a serious material prosperity goal ( see Luke 9:57-58 ) . The spiritual man realizes that his money and financial position are not the important things in life.

Altruism : The servant of the Lord is always seeking to give , instead of spending himself . He sees the money she earns working as a blessing that he can apply in serving others : " What stole steal no more : but work , doing something useful with your hands , so you have something to share with those in need " ( Ephesians 4:28 ) . True disciples see material prosperity not so much as something for themselves , but as something useful to serve others ( 2 Corinthians 9:8-11 ) . While the Christian is selfish, he always feel frustration when dealing with financial matters .

Humility : Humility to admit mistakes and seek to correct them is basic . Many of us have had improper attitudes and we have not managed our money well . Never change until we admit we have been wrong . We must also have the humility to examinarmo us the light of the word of God and do the things we learn (James 1:21-24 ) . This would be a good time to stop reading this article and review the eight attitudes that we need and try to honestly evaluate ourselves and resolve to change our attitude in the necessary areas . How God sees us in each of these attitudes ?

Specific changes

The specific things we need to do to deal with financial problems depends on our attitudes change and adoption of the aforementioned . Without correct perspective , the following steps will have little validity .

1 - Assess your situation honestly . Face the facts . It might help to take a sheet of paper and throw all your debts and write down the values of all . So cast your income and your monthly expenses . What exactly is your financial situation .

2 - Start paying your debts . " Should have nothing to anyone except to love one another ... " ( Romans 13:8 ) . Calculate how much money per month is needed to pay all interest and also start paying the principal (the original amount of the loan prior to the accrual of interest ) . If your monthly payments and obligations are more than you have available in the family budget , there are three things you could do in order to have money to pay debts : ( a) Spending less . When necessary, the expenses can be reduced to the minimum needs of food and place to live (see 1 Timothy 6:6-10 ) . ( b ) Gain more . Sometimes there are opportunities to work longer hours , take a second job , or encourage teenagers or adult children who are living in the home to work . ( c ) Sell things . The early Christians were selling homes and land to relieve the needs of his brothers ( Acts 4:32-37 ), it is certainly not unreasonable to expect a disciple of Christ selling things in order to pay what you owe .

3 - Live within your budget limits . The Bible warns of the folly of making debts : " The rich rule over the poor, the borrower is slave to the lender " ( Proverbs 22:7 ) . Slavery to creditors is very painful , it is best to wait patiently and buy only those things that you can afford.

4 - Start applying your income towards spiritual goals . We have to get to see everything we have to belong to the Lord and begin to use our resources to serve you . The New Testament exhorts us to give generously and abundantly ( 2 Corinthians 8-9 ) . While it is true that we are no longer obligated to tithe , we should not use that as an excuse for stinginess . We must not allow our offer is diminished by greed ( 2 Corinthians 9:5 ) .
conclusion

In all areas of life , the word of the Lord gives us the perfect guidance . Likewise , in the financial field should listen to the wisdom of God revealed in the Bible . When we obey the commandments of the Lord , both received " the promise of the life " as the " future " life ( 1 Timothy 4:8 ) . We follow these instructions!
